Simon was up a lot last night. He’s usually a solid 12 hour night sleeper. As I tossed and turned, listening to him fuss and deciding whether or not to go to him, I had myself convinced that he was suffering terribly from our recent absences. Wrong again.
He got his first tooth! A big fat one, top, right side. We thought babies got their lowers first, so I haven’t been obsessively checking the top the way I should have been. Simon’s managed to cram two big milestones into Ramona’s hospital stay: walking and his first tooth. Leave it to our boy to do his part to cheer everybody up. If I can find my macro lens I’ll try and get a picture (just kidding).
Still at the hospital awaiting discharge,
Jane

Chomp, chomp, chomp! Hooray for Simon! (We do demand a Simon photo, by the way, whether the tooth is visible or not.)

Hi there,
Because of the recent DiGeorge diagnosis she needs to see a few more specialists before we go home. No problems with her stability, just some consults. It will save us a few follow-up visits once we get her home. So, we probably go home tomorrow instead of today. We’re bummed but are also a little stressed about home care, so a little extra time is not a bad thing.
Jane.

I have been following developments closely for what seems like many many days now. I am awed by your strength and courage and am often moved to tears by the faith that sees you through what must be unbearable pain. May God continue to shower you all with the love you so truly deserve. You are an inspiration to us all
All my love,
Ron
