Well the doctors told us at rounds this morning that Ramona will come home tomorrrow! We’re thrilled, proud and terrified.
I have a million questions, still need to learn to do the feeding tube and oxygen tank, but can’t wait to be together again as a family. Some things I’ve been wondering about: Can we take her outside? How often do we check her pulse-ox? How will we know if we need to bring her back in?
They’ll be taking out the staples today and may need to give her some morphine to help with that. She’s been more awake and cheerful today and we’re glad for that.

AWESOME! AWESOME! AWESOME! We will be praying like crazy as we’re all in this with you (as much as we can be). I’m sure you’re feeling overjoyed and scared at the same time. We will continue to pray for wisdom and peace for you both and STRENGTH and GROWTH and HEALING for Ramona …and supernatural understanding for Simon. The prayers will not stop… We love you!

There is no place like home. A place of comfort and solace fashioned by you and for you. That crucible where you will be subjected to situations that test you and change you. But you have this tiny heroine who has already inspired you and led you to places you would not have thought you could go. This is yet another step on your journey of hope, anguish and faith. I’m terrified for you too, but that intimacy that you described recently will help you know what to do and how to do it. You are a family who has gained an understanding of the power of love exchanged and the the power of God’s gift of grace; that grace that comforts and supports even the most buffeted, weary children in God’s flock. You are seldom absent from my thouights and never absent from my prayers. God bless.
