That whole Scarlet Fever phrase had me in a panic when Gabriel got it as a toddler. Its just another fancy name for a Strep infection. I think doctors just like to give mother’s a heart attack!

I, too, am sick of kids being sick! We’re surrounded down here and I haven’t been to the gym in 2 months trying to avoid the flu. This year seems to be harsh…praying that this is the last round for your family for a LONG time.

What a cute summer picture to get everyone in the mood!
Sorry to hear about the strep and scarlet fever. You know…my older boys always get a rash on their belly when they have strep…I didn’t know that it was called scarlet fever then. (hhmmm) I guess they know they shouldn’t stress me out anymore than absolutely necessary!!!
I hope the antibiotics start clearing her up…and you guys are able to pull out the pool soon!
(I won’t tell you how hot it’s been here in Vegas!)

My oldest used to look like that. Now he’s almost 13, 5ft 5inches w/a size 11.5 shoe!!!

You have been to the park! WOW! We dont have enough grass wet or dry yet to go to the park. Naomi is very eager…she cries when she comes in because she has not been to the park!

I am so sorry to hear that Ramona is sick. I pray for a quick recovery so that she can get out to the park as well.

The Summer picture is great. Something to look forward to…

Thank you for a taste of summer! Its funny to think of you going to the playground with ice on the puddle. We have had 55 degree days (its 45 degrees now) and we are still thinking its rather cold. I think we will get out shortly despite the rain. I guess that is the trade off of the between seasons here – we get rain and mild weather.

Wren is doing better today but I still have a lot of empathy for you with sick kids. At the time you don’t realize how much more needy we all are when sick.

I hope the antibiotic works soon and clears the 18th C scourge. I remember thinking scarlet fever was very dangerous when I read about it as a child.

Look at that sweet belly! What a cutie. I looove the curly hair. Elijah has curls right now and we’re afraid to cut them off because we’re not sure they’ll grow back!

You’re totally right, scarlet does sound 18th century. I’m sure you are right…this will get cleared right up with no harm done!

YAY on the nicer weather. We are sooo looking forward to warmth. This winter has been ridiculous. At first I thought the pic you posted of Simon was from this week and I was gonna say BRRRrrrr! Swimming in 50-degree weather?! :)
