Out Of The Blue

We received an ambiguous phone call from our cardiologist’s nurse today. She wanted to let us know that Dr. Wax (the cath surgeon) had heard back from his overseas colleague and that Dr. Wax is now recommending we try something surgical for Ramona.
We don’t know what this might be. The nurse didn’t know and we will likely need to wait until her February 5th appointment to find out. This news is exciting, troubling, confusing and hopeful. I’m feeling encouraged that they might be able to do something else for her but am confused and anxious about what it might be and when.
Please pray that we will have peace while we wait to hear what her team is recommending. Here’s a shot of Andy and me (no babies!) on New Year’s Eve. It was our tenth wedding anniversary! I love you baby, Happy Anniversary.

Try doing a little dancing in the basement to waste the time away btw now and the 5th. Dancing always helps.

This sounds quite promising, but your bevy of emotions is completely justified. Will be praying that you learn more soon.

That’s exciting, but a long time to wait for more news! You two look wonderful (and really just the same since LU!). Congrats on 10 years—my husband and I celebrated our tenth last June.

Congrats on ten years! That pic of you two is very sweet…so cute.
Waiting till Feb 5th for more information…UGGHHGH! It sounds hopeful to me. I wouldn’t think that a nurse would call to give you a heads up if it weren’t positive news. We will send up prayers to confirm GOOD news…and I’ll be eager to hear what the other option is!
Take care. Enjoy your weekend! xooxx

Hi. You definitely don’t know me, but I have been following your blog for the past few months and think that your daughter Ramona is just beautiful. I’m a young heart mom too with a nearly 5 month old daughter with the 22q deletion. Actually she has a theraputic cath coming up Feb 12 that we are praying all goes very well. Just wanted you to know that ever since I found your blog and especcially since your post about your daughter’s cath, I have been praying very hard for your baby! Ah the beauty of the Web huh? Thank you for sharing your struggles and updates of that beautiful girl. We will keep praying for your family! Please say a prayer for us too if you think to. God bless!

Hi! We are praying that a wonderful possibility will appear on the 5th. Thought of you, Andy, as we went to PAC Symphony last night. It was a tribute to Louis Armstrong. Trumpeter(and vocalist) (and comedian) Wayne Stripling was the guest. He was great and the percussion was amazing, too. Our best wishes for a happy result Thurs. Love, Bev and Fr. Bill

Hi Jane,
I hope you remeber me from group in chicago. I saw your name and the prayers for your daughter. I am sorry I did not hear of this a long time ago. It is my own fault, life has gotten ahead of me and I have lost touch w/ so many in chicago. Your children are beautiful and I will keep you and the family in our prayers. much love, sean and mark schumacher
