yellow alert
Not a Red alert but still a pretty big prayer request today. Jane is on her way to the ER with Ramona because her cold has worsened and made its way to her lungs. They recommended she take her to her pediatrician but she is out of town so off to the ER they go.

Ding.. Round 2
Tomorrow, Ramona will be coming home again. Basically the Cardiac Floor can’t do anything for her that Jane and Andy can’t do for her at home. So rather than sending her upstairs from the PICU she is headed home.

Rest for the Weary
Ramona’s echo came back showing that there is blood flow. The cardiologist will now compare this echo with the one taken post surgery and see if there is any notable change. They believe her lack of sleep, nausea and inconsolable crying has been the result of methadone withdrawal. She is receiving some meds and care [...]

Back in the Picu
Ramona has been re-admited to the hospital and is back up in the PICU. They are doing a new echocardiogram to determine if she is still getting good flow where they opened things up during her surgery on Valentine’s Day. If the test shows that what they did is holding and working as it has [...]

In The ER
I just spoke with Jane very briefly and they have taken Ramona to the ER. Ramona’s oxygenation is back in the 40’s and 50’s and the doctors are trying stabilize her. This is more than Jane and Andy can take care of at home. Please pray that if she needs more care than they can [...]

She’s Home
Many of you are starting to get “ants in your pants” wondering and waiting for news. Ramona is home with Andy, Jane and Simon. While this is joyous news it is also a very difficult transition so keep up those prayers! More updates to come…

Moving On Up..
I called Ramona’s room this morning to check in on the superstar. The Mom who answered was clearly not Jane. When I got a hold of Jane I found out why. Rock Star Ramona is doing so well that she has been cleared to move to the cardiac floor.

Answered Prayer
Last Wednesday before Ramona’s open heart surgery Jane and Andy prayed to be able to look into Ramona’s eyes and connect with her again. Today as they handed Ramona to Jane and she calmed in her arms her prayers were answered.
