Moving On Up..

I called Ramona’s room this morning to check in on the superstar. The Mom who answered was clearly not Jane. When I got a hold of Jane I found out why. Rock Star Ramona is doing so well that she has been cleared to move to the cardiac floor.
At present she has moved temporarily to a different area near where she has been, until they have a bed open for her upstairs. The great news in this is the huge shift from the “weeks to months.” time frame to a “days” time frame. If she continues to do well Ramona will spend a few days on the Cardiac floor and will then go home!
The Stats: Ramona is still on a liter of O2 through her nasal cannula and is still receiveing Methadone, Ativan and Lasix but they will continue to wean her off of all four today. The feeding tube is still in her nose but it has only been used for medications. She has been eating a few ounces at a time since they introduced the bottle again! Plus she even gained some weight. Go Ramona Go!
When she goes home she most likely will not need the feeding tube, any cardiac meds or oxygen. How great is that!?!
She will still have pain meds if needed and Jane and Andy will use a pulse ox to check her when she has tet spells or they get concerned.
Please pray for peace about the transition home and Ramona’s continued healing and growth. She needs to grow those arteries!
Ramona continues to amaze!
Dear Ones – And GROW they will!! It is great news to know of Ramona’s progress thus far. There will be more!!
Ramona is clearly a rock star!
Miracle upon miracle. Praise Jesus!
Dear Ramona
I heard that you moved. Sometimes moving is hard. About a year ago I moved from windy Chicago to rural Tennessee. As I have said before it IS warmer here…sort of…and we have a lot of cool stuff around us (like a lot of trees and deer!) but it has been a big adjustment.
I just wanted to tell you that sometimes when we move someplace new it takes a little time to adjust, even when the new place is a step in a better direction, so don’t worry, adjustments are just a part of moving.
Keep your chin up because your next move will be back home to your own bed and your brother and your cats…
I wanted to tell you that I noticed that when I have written to you this week I mentioned your mom but not your dad so much. Of course YOU know how great he is but rest assured WE ALL know how great he is too…he’s a good egg, your dad.
Remind me to tell you a funny story I heard once about your dad your cats…it’s kind of long so I’ll save it for another time. It’s a good bedtime story…
love
miss angela
great news – thanks for the update!
With angels surrounding Ramona you have nothing to fear. Praise God!
Hi Jane and Andy! (and baby Ramona and baby Simon!)
I have really really had you all of my mind daily. Every time I read these updates, I am truly moved to see the wonderful and consistent encouragement that your community has been offering to you and your family.
I called Ramona’s room Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday afternoons~and nobody picked up the phone. I assume that I may have just called at inopportune moments. I just want you all to know that you are at the center of my heart! I am so thrilled to hear that Ramona is doing well enough to be relocated. That is truly great news.
Please let me know if you’d like a visitor.
With of of the love in my heart,
Laurel
