Jane just called me from the hospital to say that they may take Ramona into surgery today.
The surgeons have 2 cases scheduled for today and if they go smoothly and feel there is time, they will take Ramona in the late afternoon. We may not know until right before, but we’ll keep this thread updated with the latest information. Thanks everyone.

So, it’s looking less likely that the operation will be today, but we’re still not sure. Helpful, yes?

The surgery will be tomorrow morning at 9AM. Thanks for being “on call” everyone!
Prayers are with you and the surgeons!
Love & hugs & prayers,
Trish

Andy & Jane,
Holding you and the doctors up in prayer. May you feel God’s arms of strength and comfort around you all.
Loving you

Andy and Jane-We do not know each other. I know of this website because your father (in-law) shared with me about your family’s journey with Ramona Rae. I made a business call. My perennial flower beds cry for the discerning hands of knowledgable care; a friend recommended the Land Office. I phoned the number in Downers Grove. Ron answered. The conversation wended its way from Hostas, Bleeding Hearts, and Solomon’s Seal to Children’s Memorial Hospital, waiting, and emergency heart surgery for a beloved grandchild. I pastor a church and most of my congregants are great-grandparents. I will tell them of Ramona Mae and her family on Sunday morning during our time of Joys and Concerns. We will pray for your little family-strangers, yet neighbors, all one in the Spirit of God. There are words of a 14th century mystic, Julian of Norwich, that comfort me in times when I need/seek healing for self and loved ones. Maybe they can bring some comfort to you as well. Julian’s words: “All shall be well. And all things shall be well. And all matter of things SHALL be well.”
Peace and grace,
Rev. Cyndi

Evan and I made up a cheer for Ramona this morning (really, it was all me, but Evan contributed the enthusiasm). Ready? Ok! We’re cheering and praying!
I think I’ll join Molly with the Cheering and Praying…… Gooooooo MONA!
Besos (kisses) for Mona

The waiting is so tough. At least you should be first case tomorrow if this afternoon doesn’t work out.
I keep thinking about Ramona and hoping she has an easy recovery this time.
Will definitely be praying.
All of you are in my thoughts and I am looking forward to our next visit. Go Ramona!
