Aneurysm Averted

The CVNP (cardiovascular nurse practitioner) just came by and told us that they have successfully opened her chest without disrupting the aneurysm.
They have also gotten her successfully onto the heart-lung bypass machine. They have decided not to place a shunt and instead will only repair the patch. We do not yet know what this means. Thanks for the prayers. Here’s a pic Andy took pre-op.
Jane.
I don’t know what to say but wanted you to know we are thinking of you. Its painful to look into her bright eyes considering where she is now.
Thankyou for taking the time to post.

I want to hug her…sorry to hear about the shunt but at least the first hour of surgery is going well. Love and prayer from Seattle,

Keeping the prayer chain up to date. Love!
Thank you Jesus! Contininuing to pray and sit by the phone and computer today. So wish I could be there to wait with you and pray. Praying from here.
Love you

Thank you for the update. I know you won’t relax until this is all behind you, but you must be able to breathe a little easier knowing that there were no complications opening the chest or getting Ramona on bybass. As far as the shunt, remember these surgeons are masters and they would only make decisions that are best for sweet Ramona.
We hope the rest of the surgery went without complication.
Kelly
So glad to hear the first hurdle is cleared. Thanks for the update. We’re thinking of you guys and praying for Mona Mae, GO Ramona Go!
