I am shocked. At just four days post-op, we are being sent to the cardiac floor. This is great news and means Ramona might be just days away from coming home with us.
The only hitch right now is her withdrawal. The monkey is back. She had lots of diarrhea and some other withdrawal symptoms overnight. As long as that subsides and her fever does not return, we should be home relatively soon. They are adjusting her methadone and ativan, so fingers crossed.
Ramona was playing peek-a-boo this morning during rounds. She’s sleeping pretty comfortably now and her sats remain in the 80’s. Please pray that she will get back to her normal, non-foaming-at-the-mouth self soon and we will be able to take her home and resume our “normal” routine.
Jane.
What a sweet little fighter you have!!! Continuing to pray… .
Thats fabulous news. Just the thought you could be on the path to going home is wonderful.
Dear Ones,
Holding you all close in thought & prayer & rejoicing in Ramona’s progress!
Jane
I see Gods handy work and anwsered prayer. He is moving Mona Mae along the road to recovery very fast.. God is great! Ramona know how much she is loved and I am sure that is part of the reason she is recovering so quickly.

Wow! I’ve heard of kids being discharged only one week after surgery, but have not personally experienced it. Sounds like you may be one of those! (Knocking on wood)Sats still in the 80s too! Wonderful, wonderful news.
She is such a rock star! Are we out here in her fan club surprised? No, not really!
We will continue to keep dear, sweet Ramona in our prayers.
Yea! I’ll call you tomorrow during the day Jane about coming up to the hospital after work …around 6:00? And wow, the cardiac floor…yea!
Love, Val
Great news once again!! I think about you and Ramona all the time and it is just so fantastic that she is doing so well. What a fighter. I just never knew that my heros would be under three feet tall. I hope that her stay on the cardiac floor is short and sweet and that Ramona is home soon.
