This entry is mostly an excuse for me to post some pictures, but I’ll go ahead and tell you about Ramona’s upcoming trip, too.
Tomorrow morning Jane and Ramona are getting on a plane and heading to Vermont to visit Ramona’s new cousin (and her parents, my brother and his wife). I will be in charge of making sure the Simon monster gets plenty of sleep and food and doesn’t destroy or paint anything. This will be the perfect weekend to introduce Simon to the wonders of Oktoberfest, no?
I am going to miss them both terribly, but am so, so glad that Ramona is strong enough to travel. Not that it will be easy for Jane. She packed a box of formula, medications, supplies, and diapers and shipped it ahead. Safe travels little Ramona!
Here are a few more shots from the other day.
Ramona looks spectacular!!!!! We are so grateful to God for His sustaining power for your whole family. Have a great trip, Jane!
I was just looking at the pic you gave us at Sages’ going away party. You know, the one where she is wearing THE dress. I just remember how excited we all were to get that photo, with all that the dress could have meant, and how wonderful Ramona looked in it in that pic. What a long way she has come since then! She looks so bright and happy. Thanks so much for sharing.
Blessings to you all as you spend some quality Mommy/Daughter and Father/Son time! Is it wrong that I’m kinda hoping for a report of a little Simon mischief on Dad’s watch? Sorry!
Have a great trip Jane and Ramona! And what sweet pictures of you all.
Ramona is starting to look so grown-up. Isn’t it amazing between 9 and 12 months how they stop looking like babies and start looking like toddlers? To me it always seemed to happen all of a sudden with my kids, like I would look at them one day and think, boy they are starting to look like a little boy or girl, less like a baby.
Thank you thank you thank you for sharing these photos! I miss you all so much and it warms my heart. I will be praying for safe and happy travels for Jane and Ramona. No matter what extras are on your particular plate, it can be difficult to travel with little ones in the best of situations. I am so glad you can travel and get to see the new baby. Congrats to you all!
Thank you Jesus for bringing this family through this far and for what I know you are giving them everyday moving forward.
I love you all!
Jen

She’s here!!!
Ramona looks like a little girl! And a very cute little girl at that! I see you’ve made it to VT Jane – enjoy your trip! Have fun with Simon, Andy! Oktober-fest-a go go!
Dear Jane and Andy,
Just wanted you to know that you are constantly in our thoughts and prayers. I check the site often and don’t always get a chance to say something.
Oh my how Ramona looks so delicate and yet so strong. She is a rock star.
I chuckled at the story of Simon and the paint…that will be one to remember for a long time! Hopefully a handprint was left somewhere on the porch to remind him of the event!!!
Hope to visit with you soon–
Susie, Mark, Ashley and Sarah
It has been awesome to follow your family’s growth. You continue to be a blessing to all as you share your journey with us. Jane and Andy…you are amazing and inspiring and Simon and Ramona are so very, very sweet!!! I can’t wait for pictures of everyone from your visit to Vermont.
She’s absolutely precious in these pictures. You guys all look so happy. I’m glad that Jane & Ramona go to do a mommy daughter weekend away. Cherish those special moments…..
