Here she is, looking large and in charge. She’s being held by Aunt Bekah, who is here for the week with Uncle Toby to help out.
She’s doing pretty well today and Papa and I are catching up on our sleep. She’s been vomitting a little, but no blood, so we’re hoping it’s just that she’s not hungry for all the food we’re giving her.
ooooooooh. she’s so cute. her eyes are so very expressive! i’m so glad you are sending regular pictures. and i’m glad also to hear no more blood in her vomit. i remember when avery had blood in his diaper for many days (which turned out to be caused by his milk protein allergy) – it is a really scary sight. i hope you and andy are catching up on rest. zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz, sep
Sleep tight! When you wake up, let me know what I can bring you on Tuesday over on the grocery page!
Dear Ones – Love seeing my Sweet Pea! She looks wonderful Thanks so much for sharing:) Lots of love to all…
Thanks for the pictures Jane. She is a joy to behold. Keeping you all in prayer.
Much love,
Jackie
She’s looking good! Pink & chubby! I can’t get over how much she’s changed since the first photos you posted.
From the first look of Ramona on the blog I thought this little one has a beautiful story to tell and it is going to start in her eyes!
I see that again in today’s photo.
Hope you enjoy some sweet rest.
Blessings to you all,
Nicole
What a cutie!
We are still praying for you all.
hang in there,
love,
Shannon
Dear Ramona
I heard that you had some trouble with blood the other day. I hate blood, so much so that I basically faint at the sight of it. I’m serious! I’m not even exaggerating! One thing I’ll tell you is that if I’m ever standing next to you and I say, “Ramona, I’m going to faint” promise me you won’t say, “No you’re not” because that ALWAYS happens to me…then I’m waking up with a headache from my fall to the floor.
Anyway, I do have a funny story about blood and babies for you. I didn’t faint in this one though. I was changing Riley’s diaper when she was really really young one time and I noticed something red mixed in with the…well, the poo. So as a first time mother who has read too many books I feared the worst and called the doctor! I was really frightened, let me tell you.
So as I am talking to the nurse on the phone and as she is asking me about how the baby seems and about how much blood I suspected was there and what the baby had been eating…and so on. But as I was talking to the nurse I noticed that Riley was wearing red socks. She had had them on all day and at that very moment she was doing something she loved to do at that age. She was sucking her toes…socks and all.
Well…do I have to tell you that upon further examination the red stuff was not actually blood but lint from her socks?
Yeah! I know!! A big relief and I felt a little dorky too but hey, live and learn…that’s my motto.
Hope that nasty cold is clearing up so that you can get back to learning to sing opera.
sincerely
Miss angela
That must happen a lot Angie! When I called the doctor about the blood in Ramona’s vomit, he said, “Are any of her medicines red?”.
Hi Jane and Andy,
Hurray for Miss Chubby-cheeks! She looks terrific. Hope you will have a peaceful stretch and can catch up on some sleep. We still think of you all and check daily (ok, maybe twice daily)
love, Bill, Paula, Linnea and Justin
