Six Months Today!

Miss Mona turned six months today. To celebrate we went out as a foursome for a drive. You know that’s gotta be a special occasion since gas is like $3.50 a gallon in these parts. We checked out some “garage-mahals” going up in the neighborhood. This is my new favorite word that describes a huge new-construction house whose most prominent architectural feature is a three or four car garage. A close second in the new word category is “destinesia”, that’s when you forget why you came into a room once you get there. Happens to me all the time.
Anyhoo. I weighed Ramona this morning to commemorate her big monthiversary and she weighs 16lb 7oz, which is so crazy good. At this rate she’ll be as big as Simon before you know it.
As a family we’re hanging in there. We’re still struggling with sleep. I think partially because of the fatigue I’m having some trouble with anger, depression, etc. I’m working on it. Andy and I are trying to find more time to spend together and we both are trying to spend less time just surfing on the computer, watching TV and stuff like that. And I’m considering Weight Watchers again, but don’t quote me on that.
Simon has been very talkative and I would not be surprised if I fetched him from bed one morning and he came out with “May I please have a cup of tea Mother?” or something. Any day now.
I am all over the place today, forgive me. I’m hoping to post something of more substance later after the babies are in their beds, I’ve been thinking big thoughts. Here’s Mona in the Bumbo this morning, looking very foot loose and fancy-free.
Love to you,
Jane.
Happy monthiversary Ramona! She is looking just fine. We love you guys!
I’m gonna have to work “destinesia” into my vocab.
Mona Mae-
You look fabulous Sweetheart. Keep on growing. So proud of your hard work.
Simon-
Madeleine misses you dearly. A future playdate awaits.
Love to you both.
Happy 6 months Ramona! And Simon, you are a great big brother to your sister, and sounds like you’ll be talking her ear off very soon!
Love, Val
happy 6 month ramona. you go girl on your bumbo throne! much peace, the price/labnos.
She looks GREAT. Happy 6 months!
Happy 6 months! It seems like we were just saying happy 5 months yesterday…she is growing big quickly!
Happy six months!
Here’s to a great week for the family.
Keep smiling and God bless!
I am just so dang happy that we are celebrating Ramona’s six monthiversary. It’s been quite the odyssey these last 3+ months. Your girl has kept us guessing and kept us on our toes in the prayer department, that’s for sure. Thankfully, the news seems more good than bad lately (way to go on those weight gains, sweet pea!). I’m praying for continued good reports, better “luck” in the doctor department and more rest for all of you. I hope the love we all have for you sustains you when you are weary. It’s my privilege to know you and be on your side. Grow, baby, grow. You are loved!
(Jane: If only us gaining weight was cause for such celebration, eh? I’ve let a few lbs. creep back on myself these last couple of weeks, so I’m feeling you on the return to Weight Watchers.)
Hey I made this discovery last night…I went to bed earlier and when I woke up I felt good. Don’t laugh…seriously it did not occur to me before on any kind of deep level that the cure for sleep deprivation is um…sleep, (rather than coffee.)
Rest assured (no pun intended) that one day you will actually be able to sleep like a normal person again. I’m not saying WHEN just saying it will happen.
Keep the faith!
miss you guys…love you always-

Happy Belated 6 months Ramona Mae. We’ll take those new mercies every morning Lord – thank you.
Love to you all,
Jackie
She’s looking so cute and grown up! Happy half a year, Miss Ramona
Jane,
I’m not trying to make you spend more time on the web but I’ve just discovered a new website – sparkpeople.com I was about to rejoin W.W. myself when I was told about this FREE site! You can log your food & exercise…tips on eating healthy, setting goals, recipes and a recipe builder. It also has several message boards/groups including W.W. & you can create your own sparkpage. So far I’ve lost 5 lbs in 3 1/2 weeks. Keeps me on track. :o)
So…. I just read back over what I wrote and it kinda sounds like a spam email or something – yikes. I guess I’m just passionate about it cause it’s really helped me. As always we’re praying for your family and it’s been such a blessing to us to hear good reports.
She looks beautiful and even more so in person. The kids are just looking fantastic.
I recently started doing the weight watchers thing. I don’t go to meetings but I’ve paid enough money for all the tools in the past that I have everything. My aunt has been going to the meetings and so we are weight watcher buddies. It helps to have someone else to discuss the whole weight and food thing with. Anyway, if you’re interested, I’d be happy to be your buddy. I started April 23rd on my 35th b-day and I’ve lost 11 lbs so far. That’s just enough for the bra’s to stop feeling so tight. I’ve gone out and bought an ellipitical machine…now I need to work myself up to using it! I’m starting to feel more energetic so any day now…..
