Time Off For Good Behavior

They’ve just completed rounds and it looks like if they can get the paperwork done Ramona is coming home today! She just needs a chest X-ray and her discharge orders. We don’t even have her carseat here, we took it home thinking we wouldn’t need it for awhile. Wrong again.
So, another prayer answered. Last time I felt very anxious about having Ramona home. I was worried about the oxygen, the NG, the tubes, etc. I was worried about her crying. This time I just cannot wait to get her home. I feel comfortable with her care and the NP even said it would be okay to let her cry a bit now since her sats are so much better.
This past week I have just been waiting for the other shoe to drop, not wanting to take anything for granted. We’re not home yet, but I’m feeling so proud of her, what a super-duper recouper!
Here’s another pic, she’s just fallen asleep. Not sure what the idea was with this whack tape job, but I can fix it when we get home
Jane.
Oh, Jane, that’s wonderful!
Woo hoo. I’m stunned. Its also great how far you have come in feeling confident and capable of caring for Ramona at home. I never felt that on top of things but when we were on the floor Josh was always saying “they’re not doing anything we couldn’t do with more comfort”.
Yay!!!
What a boost to every one’s spirit!! I’m so glad she can heal at home with loving people who care for her in a familiar environment. She’s looking great, by the way.
yeah!!!!! go Ramona!!!
this is amazing! she is amazing! woohoo!
Whoa!! Great job, Ramona! It is so wonderful to hear how great she is doing. I know that it is such a releif that you guys are on your way home. I can totally relate with how miserable it can be up on the floor. I will continue to pray that her arteries grow, grow, grow!

LOL ok I am cracking up at your tape job comment. You are too funny.
I am so excited for all of you.

You guys are amazing! All your love and hard work, long hours, care, nurturing, bearing with the uncertainties, have allowed Ramona Mae to thrive and gain so much weight so she’s able to bounce back from surgery like a trooper. You should be so proud of yourselves and the kiddos. Way to go! Sending you good thoughts!
Dear Ones,
I’m so happy for you!
I’m so happy I think I’m going to have to do some laundry! or bake something!
home home home! wonderful! (and I hate reading that she was in that room crying by herself. don’t they know that’s Ramona Mae they got there??? geez.)
Jane
I told you.. she is a miracle. I am so happy I think I will go home but I will leave the baking to someone else.

She is definitely super duper !! and surely fix that tape – it covers too much of her gorgeous face
Wow! Here’s to that crazy aneurysm that started this whole recent hospital stay! Ramona is better off now than before- Congradulations.
Fantastic news! I can’t believe how great she’s doing! Make sure you have some help lined up for tomorrow…I always have a bit of a hard time getting back into the swing of things after being in the hospital. Sending you lots of good thoughts!
