Our vacation is in cyber-blackout country, so I wanted to post some pics to tide you over 😉
Simon is feeling better. Turns out he had roseola, a viral infection from which he is now recovering. Ramona either already had it or isn’t going to because she seems to feel just fine. Thank God for Purell.
My mom had the great idea to go to the Garfield Park Conservatory to see their outdoor sculpture garden. Simon loved the interactive mosaics and Ramona loved the fresh air. I loved the shady bench. Andy came with and it was so much fun that I took the babies and my sister Eva again the next day! Here are pics from our second excursion:
This is a shot Eva got of the three of us and I think it’s just sweet.
Here’s Simon pre head injury on one of the sculptures…
Here’s a great illustration of how roseola is spread:
Here’s the boy with Eva and just being adorable…
And Miss Mona practicing her sitting in the grass:
Happy Fourth! I love an opportunity to celebrate our freedoms and blessings. And as a bonus we get to recognize the sacrifices others have made and are making so that we can enjoy them. And it’s an opportunity to eat sausages, also good.
Love, Jane.

The pictures are gorgeous. I am glad you have been having happy times despite the virus.
By the way, did you have the GI consult last week? I wondered what the surgeon thought about the G-tube/button procedure.
OH my gosh. Thanks for posting the photos. I totally needed the pics to tide me over! Have a fabulous family trip.
Love to you all
Jen
The picture of you with the kids is precious. And I know I’ve said it before, but they are both gorgeous children! Have a wonderful, cyber-free trip! Happy Fourth to you and your family!
Great photos. Will leave you a phone msg about get together in 1 1/2 wks w/other families!
Enjoy your trip!
Trish
The kids are beautiful. I’m so happy things are going well.
Cute, cute, cute! Hope you are having a great time on your trip!
Love, Val
Hey we just got over roseola too! It is going around Wisconsin, not fun. Love the pictures, looks like a ton of fun. Enjoy the trip.
Just wonderful – thanks for the pictures. Simon looks captivated, Ramona Mae looks completely refreshed by the breezes, and Miss Jane, you’re aglow. Nature was my refuge as a kid – stick houses, bushes for combat cover, trees to climb and swing from and my personal favorite, lying on the grass cloud gazing-the immensity of it all was breathtaking. Thank you God for your timely and beautiful excursions for the Deitrich family – the best things in life are free! ( I don’t know if the park cost anything!)
Much love to you all,
Jackie
Jane & Andy, I’m so happy that things are starting to get on track for you guys. The kids look fantastic. I’m estatic for you to be able to get away for a few days. Thanks for the pictures they are truly precious! Just enjoy…enjoy…enjoy.
Love,
Judy
How fun to see happytime pictures and hear good news. Always thinking of you all,
take care……Bill,Paula,Linnea and Justin
Emma had roseola last summer. Not fun. The good news is, I think it is likely that they will only have it once!
We also visited Niki in the Garden @ Garfield Park. Wasn’t it great?
Your children are beautiful. I am so happy to hear that you are doing well. Hope to see you soon.
By they way, where in Michigan did you guys go? That’s where I am originally from. We are actually headed there this weekend. Did you get to pick any cherries? They are so yummy at this time of year.

Jane – Thanks for the pictures! The babies are precious. I just visited the same Conservatory and sculpture garden last month! I loved the skull, it was hilarious…the lions were pretty cute too.
Belated HAPPY FOURTH OF JULY!
Hope the getaway was great.
Thank you for sharing the lovely family photos.
Keep smiling and God bless 😀
