Trick or Treat?

I talked with the folks in scheduling. The first available day for Ramona’s cath is October 31st. Her cardiologist was wanting to do it in October, so Halloween it is!
Simon will likely go out to my mom’s for trick or treating and a sleepover and we’ll spend that time with Ramona. It’s a little bittersweet, with the missed holiday and all, but no biggie. I’m sure there will be lots of fun Halloween related stuff at the hospital an I’m sure Simon will have a great time with Grandma and Grandpa.
I’m feeling grateful today that we have access to such sophisticated and competent care. I’m sad she needs so much surgery, but glad it’s available when she does.
Simon, and possibly the rest of us, has strep. He’s been just miserable but is starting to rebound now that we’ve got him on some antibiotics and codeine. We could use a few weeks of rest and health as we get ready for the cath. Please pray with us.
Love, Jane.
Oh, man! Strep on top of everything! Blessings to you all, we’re praying.
What is with Ramona and the holiday surgery schedule? wow. We will be praying and we are praying for you all to get well soon.
Healing on your house!
Love you
Jen
Praying with you, most definitely.
It’s strange, but Elijah’s surgeries have always seemed to fall on holidays, or important days, as well. I’ve always seen it as a tiny little reassurance thing for me. I know that might sound strange..
Sorry to hear about the strep. I’ll pray that it runs its course quickly. Sending you guys hugs.. xoxoxo
keeping you all in prayer…we love you guys.
Ugh! I’m just ticked that ya’ll have had to deal with so much sickness in the midst of everything else. I am praying for healing from it all and that everyone will stay HEALTHY!
As always we are praying for you and it will be impossible not be thinking of you and praying on Halloween…what is it with Deitrich drama on holidays?? Maybe it’s just a great reminder for your prayer warriors to pray. ;o) God is good like that.
Jane:
My daughter Lily had a cath over a holiday weekend this summer – 4th of July. We did get to see the fireworks from the parking garage at Children’s though. We love Dr. Wax because he is very direct. He spoke with Mavroudis and recommended a stent for her left pulmonary artery. We couldn’t do it without Children’s!!
the cooties are everywhere!!
I hope you guys start feeling better soon.
I’ll be praying for you and Ramona during her cath…
she can still wear her costume while in the hospital…i think that deserves more candy too mom!!!
love,
kathy
I hope the strep goes away soon. I don’t like illnesses so close to procedures.
I’ll be praying all goes well for Ramona. I am happy to hear her arteries are growing!
Take care,
Vanessa
Will certainly be praying for you all as you approach the 31st. Take good care of yourselves.
