Now That’s What I’m Talkin’ About

Now that’s what I’m talkin’ about. Driving home from Children’s Memorial after getting discharged. 90/94 is a parking lot but Ramona’s iPod is playing her tunes on the car stereo. Both my ladies asleep in the back seat. It feels peaceful.
Finally we’re out of the ICU again, but this time Ramona and Jane are both relaxed enough to sleep in the car. (Actually in Jane’s case there is likely a good measure of fatigue as well.) Ramona’s got a sedative and pain medication this time that will be weaned ever so slowly between now and June 1st.
Also, my car reads the outside temp at 61 degrees F. That sure beats the blizzard we experienced the day she was admitted.
That’s the situation. She’s home, and sleeping.
Dear Ones – I’m happy for you! You are together again:) I celebrate your love for one another. I believe it is a healing love, that God is in it, & I claim that for Ramona! You are ever in my thoughts & prayers.
Amen! Sleep… Sleep… rest and restore.
Sleep! What a blessing. I pray that this will be the beginning of a peace-filled time at home. Father God, grant them peace.
Right on…
What’s on her playlist? Any King’s X?
😉
Great to hear she’s home. We’re continuing to pray for her and you guys.
Amen is right….I’ll pray for sleep and rest for all of you tonite.
Love, Val
Good for you, all of you. I hope the settling in and routines come easier this time.
Andy,
What a peaceful picture-thanks for giving us a taste. Welcome home Ramona! We’ll see you soon!
Andy,
Even your writing makes this homecoming sound peaceful.
Since last Saturday I have been humming the words to this German lullaby whenever I think of you guys.
Still, still, still
From Salzburg, 1819
Literal English translation – HF
Still, still, still,
‘Cause baby wants to sleep.
The angels jubilate beautifully,
By the manger making music.
Still, still, still,
‘Cause baby wants to sleep.
Sleep, sleep, sleep,
My dear babe sleep!
Maria sings you a lullaby
And brings you her true heart.
Sleep, sleep, sleep,
My dear babe sleep!
Great, great, great,
The love is more than great!
God has left his throne
And must go by road.
Great, great, great,
The love is more than great.
We, we, we,
All do call out to you:
Open heaven’s realm to us,
If we must die one day.
We, we, we,
We all call out to you.
MELODY > Midi Version (ingeb.org)
We are praying for abundant grace and peace for all of you in this homecoming
Love to you all,
Nicole

perhaps a little bit of Raffi would be in order…if Ramona doesn’t jive with it…i’m sure Simon would shake his lil’ booty to some “baby Beluga”…or perhaps the parents would enjoy it more Love you all!
Shawn Colvin has an excellant lullabye album…
I wonder if Tom Waits has one…that’d be cool, huh?
Thank you God for new mercies every morning.
“Over the Rainbow” by Eva Cassidy is just the ticket – heaven sent. Praise God.
God bless you all.

Thinking about you guys today. And continuing to pray.
Brothers in Arms is one of my all time favorites! What an incredibly cool baby you have there! Now I’m off to itunes to check out a couple of Ramona’s other titles. And, as always, praying for you all.
Rock on, family. Sleep well.
Love and prayers headed your way…

I pray your time at home has been filled with love, joy, and peace from our Lord.
“For God has not given us a spirit of fear but of power, love, and a sound mind.” 2Timothy 1:7
Rest in God’s peace.
this sounds alot more like it, I am so glad you all are home! Let me know if you need anything, I am so close and happy to help in anyway Jane!
For a host of reasons, may I recommend “Better Days Ahead” by Pat Metheny? Sleep and grow well, Ramona… Sleep and speedy recovery from the flu, Andy and Jane… Happy days and patience, Simon… Stamina, Grandma.
