That’s right, she’s a mighty, mighty 13lbs 12oz today!
That’s up 9oz in 7 days, another very respectable jump. She’s doing okay with her cold, although she did spit up quite a bit last night while trying to cough out some mucous.
Dear Ramona
I know it’s been a while since I wrote, sorry about that. I was thinking of you today because yesterday I was reminded about another little girl I knew who had to put up with needles and doctors and trips to the hospital alot. So, I thought I would come here today and write a note to you.
It sounds like you are getting so big and strong! How cool is that?
I wanted to tell you about the leaves on the trees today. It was really warm here, like summer warm for a few weeks so the leaves got very excited and sprang out all over the place. The flowers were blooming on our dogwood trees, it was so beautiful! Then a few days ago it got very very cold. It’s called a “freeze” and the plants don’t appreciate it very much, let me tell you. They kind of all shriveled up and hung their little leaves down. I’m sure your mom can give you the botanical explanation for that. I just think it’s because they were bummed out from the cold or something.
But you know, I was driving around and I was kind of freaking out because it was JUST spring and now it was like Winter had come back! I thought, I can understand why these leaves are so bummed out!
Then, last night we asked someone down here about it and they said without delay, “They’ll come back, don’t worry” which made me feel better.
Today I woke up to a big rainstorm and do you know what? They are coming back, it’s warming up again and the rain is bringing them back.
Plants are tenacious, Ramona…like some little girls that I know. They suprise and delight us all the time!
Keep springing and growing strong…no matter the weather-
love
Miss Ang
Go Ramona! Jane and Andy…she is responding to your love, nurturing and care and to God’s tender mercies.
Just lettin’ it all hang out
The lady’s stacked and that’s a fact,
ain’t holding nothing back.
Oh, my Sweet Pea! Come to Grammie! You look so good:) Keep up the good work!
What an absolute beauty! This is definitely NOT, “For a baby with medical problems, she sure looks good.” This is, “What a beautiful little girl . . .” period.
The snow is clinging to the trees and though it sure looks like winter outside, you Ramona Mae, are like a breath of springtime in our hearts.
Much love,
Jackie
Amen Jackie!
She is a total peanut!
Oh, beautiful little Ramona. You are such a sweetie!
Sweet Ramona
You are growing in beauty and grace every day. (And I love your socks!)
she’s so very pretty, and it looks like she knows it! and that’s quite a bold statement she’s making with those socks. i like it.
Ramona is looking good – love her outfit in this picture. Where do you get those fun socks that look like shoes?
Socks were passed to us by the Boyd’s. They’re so cute they’re made by Trumpettes and they make fun sneaker socks for boys too:
